Would you like to share Yoga or Mindfulness with your students?

Yoga and meditation has been considered for a long time as a wonderful means of stress management.


Just like adults practice different forms of yoga, kids and teens also appreciate a style of yoga developed just for them. Our Children and Teens Teacher, Kathleen, uses Kidding Around Yoga, Vinyasa, Restorative and Yin yoga to support children and teens wellbeing and development. Kathleen is a registered Trauma Centre, Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator and can offer one on one practices for students and teachers with special needs. 

Kidding Around Yoga specializes in sharing yoga and meditation with children ages 4 to 12 years.  We use our own music, games, as well as other tools and activities to help children focus their minds and stretch their bodies, all while having loads of fun. KAY uses a system based on the classical study of yoga and transforms it into an experience for children to both introduce them to yoga as well as inspire them to develop a practice and give them tools to take into adulthood.  

For our older students Kathleen combines KAYs fun with Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative yoga to create a class where teens can explore the ideas of yoga philosophy, strengthen their bodies, relax their nervous systems and stretch their minds with mindfulness and meditation practices. 


ABOUT OUR TRAINER

Kathleen is a 200RYT Vinyasa and Yin Yoga Teacher, 95RCYT with Kidding Around Yoga and registered Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator. Kathleen as spent her career working with children and adolescents in a variety of roles including youth worker and child and adolescent caseworker. Kathleen has a detailed understanding of child and adolescent development and approaches every group and individual she meets with openness and honesty.
